FOX Rehabilitation Employees Act as Santa to Local Adults

FOX Team

In partnership with Home Instead Senior Care, FOX employees are donating gifts to members of an area adult daycare center.

CHERRY HILL, N.J., December 18, 2014 – For the fifth consecutive year, Fox Rehabilitation has joined Home Instead Senior Care to provide gifts to members of our community who may otherwise receive none. All of the gifts will be given to members of the Wiley Christian Adult Medical Day Care in Pennsauken.

“I get great pleasure seeing the pictures of all the seniors opening their gifts. They don’t ask for much, and to see how happy they are with the littlest things, that’s the biggest highlight for me.”

The adults at the day care will get to open their gifts purchased by the staff at FOX’s Cherry Hill Headquarters at Wiley’s annual holiday party to be held on Friday, December 19.

“They’re so excited and they look forward to it every year,” said Gina Bucci, Community Service Representative from Home Instead Senior Care.
Home Instead began this “Santa to a Senior” program many years ago. They invited FOX to participate in 2010, and the partnership has continued ever since.

“The purpose of this charity service program, Be a Santa to a Senior, is to positively impact the community by providing holiday cheer and gifts to seniors who are lonely, financially challenged and are least likely to receive a present during the holiday season,” said Fran Fox, RN, MSN, President and Franchise Owner of Home Instead Senior Care.

“This is a great program that Home Instead has put together and I’m happy that FOX has been a part of it each year,” said Tim Fox, PT, DPT, GCS, Founder and CEO of Fox Rehabilitation. “Our staff gets great joy giving the gifts and seeing the photos afterward. It’s a great feeling to be able to give back to the community.”

Each person at Wiley will get one gift at the holiday party. Gifts requested include sweat shirts, button down shirts, hoodies, baseball caps, perfume, digital watches and more.

FOX Headquarters employees will find gift tags each with a first name and that person’s gift request. They then select a tag and purchase the item(s) on that tag and place the item(s) in a gift bag. All of the gifts are then delivered to Wiley during their holiday party.

Shirley Lopez, Compliance Audit Specialist at FOX, said she participates every year because it takes so little to make someone feel so happy. “I get great pleasure seeing the pictures of all the seniors opening their gifts. They don’t ask for much, and to see how happy they are with the littlest things, that’s the biggest highlight for me.”
